Amy Winehouse New Album News

According to NME, Amy Winehouse has completed her new album and also recently recorded a track with Cee Lo Green in Saint Lucia. A source says: "Amy has a house in St Lucia and decided to fly out. She and Cee Lo just clicked and he said he wouldn’t leave the island until the track was done." This will be her third studio album, and the first since her 2006 smash album "Back to Black".

Amy Winehouse recently toured for a few dates in Brazil and went back to singing hits from her previous album "Back to Black" and covers such as "Boulevard of Broken Dreams," a song from the 1934 film "Moulin Rouge" that has been covered most famously by Tony Bennett. A few months ago Amy mentioned that people who liked her second album would also like her upcoming new album as it will be very similar.

Here's to making 2011 Amy Winehouse's big comeback year, and mostly stay safe and healthy! Here are some clips from the Brazil concerts, the crowd loved her!

Amy Winehouse – Prepping Third Album

amy winehouse third album

Amy Winehouse says that she’s nearly done with her third studio album and that it should be released later this year.

“I’ve actually written a few more songs over Christmas. I’ve been at home, been to my mum’s, actually been knuckling down to it really,” the Mirror quoted her as telling OK! magazine.

It isn’t clear as to how she managed to make new songs while collapsing around Christmas and staying in hospital up until the new year.

I won’t say it enough, Amy Winehouse is very talented, and it would be wonderful to get another album from her, but her bad habits do seem to take the best of her. Let’s see what 2010 has in store for her.

No Comeback For Amy Winehouse

Amy Winehouse will regretfully not be making her comeback during Island Records' 50th Anniversary gig on May 31st.

"Amy Winehouse's management has regretfully announced that Amy and her band will no longer be performing at the Shepherd's Bush Empire," her rep said in a statement.

"Amy would like to apologize to her fans who bought tickets for the shows."

It seems that her health still isn't good enough for the troubled singer to perform.

In other Amy Winehouse news, Daphne Barak is currently filming a documentary featuring the life of Amy. The doco titled "Saving Amy" will be released at the end of the year.

"Amy and her family will be the subject of a new documentary later this year," the announcement read. "The journalist spent time with Amy and her family recently on St. Lucia, and in true honest to goodness Amy style, the doc will be a truthful and revealing look at her complicated lifestyle."

Amy Winehouse - To Perform Again!

Amy Winehouse is set to make a comeback after being absent for a couple of months due to personal issues (related to health, drugs, alcohol, her marriage, etc...).

She also added that being busy with her music helps her stay out of trouble. She said, "It's probably for the best. I only end up getting arrested for assault when I go out these days.”

“Island Life” will officially begin on May 25, with performances by various Island artists lined-up from May 26 to 31.

Bad News For Amy Winehouse Fans

Amy Winehouse has been working on her third studio album for the past year, but she seems to be too big of a mess to complete it.

She has planned to put a hold on the new album because she hasn’t really written any new songs.
A source tells the Sunday People, "Amy doesn't seem to be able to get her head down and do some work."

"The last album was released 18 months ago and she hasn't done any writing since. The talk is that there might not be another album."

For the time being "Back to Black" is what we've got, however it is an excellent album, which I'm sure no one is tired listening to.

Amy Winehouse - Teams up with Mark Ronson again

Amy Winehouse and Mark Ronson will once again attempt to create a new track. They were originally supposed to team up on the new 007 movie's theme song, however due to Amy's health issues, they dropped the project.

This time the duo will team up for a track on a new tribute album to legendary producer Qunicy Jones.

“Amy first met Quincy backstage at the Nelson Mandela gig in Hyde Park in June… He knew who she was… He was raving about her.”

Other artists rumoured to appear on the album include Mariah Carey and Usher.

Let's hope that this time Amy will be able to pull it off.

Amy Winehouse - To Release Her Own Theme Song For "Quantum Of Solace"

Amy Winehouse is planning to release the song James Bond executives rejected as a potential theme for "Quantum of Solace".

Alicia Keys and White Stripes star Jack White were eventually chosen to record the theme the film. The collaboration will mark the first original score duet.

“I want to prove they have made a big mistake. I don’t think they could have waited a bit. If they want a worldwide hit, I have them all up here,” says Amy.

“I guess they are going for clean-cut and boring. When I do release mine - and I am tempted to do it on the same day - this would be the bigger hit. If they change their minds, I am waiting!”

Amy Winehouse at Madame Tussauds

Mitch and Janis Winehouse debuted the World-Famous Madame Tussauds Museum’s brand-new waxwork of their little girl to an excited crowd in London. Early this month, Amy said that a wax figure would be a little creepy. I think the Madame Tussauds Museum did a good job, however I never got excited to see wax figures, I'd rather see the real deal! What about you?

New Amy Winhouse Video - "Just Friends"

Amy Winehouse
This new Amy Winehouse video really came as a pleasant surprise! "Just Friends" is Amy's brand new video. It basically shows shots of her on stage and off stage, it's entirely about her and her music. It looks really good and positive, hopefully we'll continue aring more music from Amy. Such talent really shouldn't go wasted.

Amy Winhouse and Starbucks

According to the Capitalist Banter, Starbucks Corporation announced that it has struck a deal with singer Amy Winehouse to promote the company’s weakest-performing product: black coffee. “If there’s anyone who looks like she needs a cup of strong black coffee, it’s Amy Winehouse,” said Adelbert Fluglehare, Starbucks’ Vice President of Black Coffee and Plain Biscottis.

Amy’s first Starbuck’s commercial will be a before-and-after tale, showing videos of her staggering hung over into a store and attempting to punch out the barista, followed by a shot of her skipping out holding a venti coffee with the Starbucks label reflecting in her no-longer-bloodshot eyes. Subsequent ads will feature Amy in Jared-like poses: holding up empty gallon whisky bottles, huge ice packs and other things that drinking Starbucks black coffee has allowed her to give up.

For Amy’s music fans, Starbucks Entertainment is working with the singer on an update of her “Back to Black” CD called “Back to Black Coffee,” featuring all new songs like “Reheat,” “Me & Mr. Coffee,” “Tea Is A Losing Game” and “He Can Only Hold Her Latte.” The album will be promoted on a “Black to Black Coffee” concert tour, with stops expected in Seattle, Sumatra, Kenya, Columbia and Jamaica.

Starbucks is counting on the Winehouse promotion to increase the sales of black coffee enough to offset losses caused by the recently announced closure of over 600 stores.

Amy Winehouse Punches Fans

It is very disappointing to continously see Amy getting worse and worse. She's completely giving up the talent she once had to punch fans, get drunk, do drugs, until one fatal day will happen... Who thinks there still is some talent left in Amy Winehouse? I'm desperately trying to find some, I really used to like her. Check out this site When Will Amy Winehouse Die? It's a site set up to guess when she will die and the winner will get an iPod, unbelievable!

Amy Winehouse - Nelson Mandela Concert

Despite her recent health problems, Amy Winehouse performed at Nelson Mandela's birthday concert held in Hyde Park.

While her appearance at the Nelson Mandela birthday concert was uncertain, Amy Winehouse made it to the rehearsal on Friday afternoon.

During the concert, she made her first appearance together with the rest of the performers to sing "Happy Birthday" to Nelson Mandela.

After the first two hours of the show, she took the stage to perform “Rehab” and "Valerie".

She then came back out at the final act of the concert to join Jerry Dammers in singing the Specials' song Free Nelson Mandela, together with the rockers from Queen.

Amy Winehouse - Rock In Rio Performance

Amy admits herself that she should have canceled on her Rock In Rio Lisbon performance, because her voice just isn't good enough. First she was 45 minutes late, and then when she did appear she forgot the lyrics to her own songs. Amy drank while being on stage, and had a difficult time standing up straight. It's really a pitty for her back up singers and musicians who are actually being professional. It's sad, and although I do like Amy's music, it doesn't look like she's going to manage to get back on track. It can only go downhill from now on.

Will We Hear More Amy Winehouse Music?

Amy Winehouse has been able to make new music for some time now, and she recently was dropped for the James Bond theme song. However, she keeps on receiving awards! This week, Amy received the award for Best Song Musically And Lyrically at the Ivor Novello Awards. However, she was late and her father had to come up on stage and thank the audiance for the award instead of Amy.

"I don't know what I'm doing up here," Mitch Winehouse said, as he took to the stage. "Amy unfortunately couldn't make it but she's getting better and she sends you all her love."

Amy did eventually show up.

Awards will eventually stop coming and Amy will really have the straighten her life if she basically wants to live another 50 years or so and if she wants to continue singing too.

Apparently, Amy is going to give Rehab another chance, but this time in Israel! Amy will undergo "very short, intensive and effective treatment" costing $12,800 (£6,400) within the next few weeks at the Barzilai Medical Centre. Eliezer Cohen, chairman of the Israel Anti-Drug Authority, claims the clinic agreed to treat the 24-year-old following a request from her management. They spoke to a renowned Israeli institution and an Israeli professor who conducts a very special and effective method. She has requested to come to him to do this method, since it's a method that is suitable for her. Amy will receive 36 hours of treatment - will be treated by Andre Waismann, who promises success.

What do you think? Will Amy finally get her life straightened out and return to music?

Amy Winehouse News - James Bond and the Grammys

Amy Winehouse has been given the opportunity to write and sing the theme song Quantum of Solace in the next James Bond film.

The agreement is that Amy must stay clean and sober, any slip ups will kill the deal. The final decision from the producers of the movie will be taken in April. Hopefully, Amy won't mess this up.

Speaking of mess ups, the American Embassy of London hasn't granted her a visa to attend the Grammys Sunday night, and her publicist announced that she will perform via satellite.

Amy Winehouse Might Miss the Grammys

Amy Winehouse has been asked to give a drug test to get a visa for Los Angeles where the Grammy Awards are scheduled to take place.

Sources have revealed that the US officials have asked her to give a drug test to prove she is clean.

She would have to be clear of drugs for weeks to pass before going to the flashy Los Angeles bash on February 10.

"Amy’s been told she needs to pass a drug test before she can get a visa,” a magazine quoted a source as saying.

"She is doing much better and has cut down her drug use but still isn’t clean.

"Her team are desperate to clean her up as the Grammys is such a big deal. But Amy’s not so bothered," added the source.

Winehouse has six nominations for the US music awards and has been lined up to be a star in the ceremony.

New Amy Winehouse Video - "Love Is A Losing Game"

Amy Winehouse has just released her new video "Love Is A Losing Game". The video is well done, however looks a tad melancholic. It seems to portray her own love life and what it has done to her. What do you think of the video?

Amy Winehouse, it's time to shape up!

Last night, at the 2007 EMA Awards Amy performed "Back to Black" and most of the times she forgot the words, or at least they weren't very clear. In addition, when she picked up her artists' choice award she looked extremely confused and uncomfortable. She barely said thank you. Again, it's so sad to see her talent go to waste, I wish she could get some serious help to get out of the drugs alcohol, and her husband Blake.

Here's her last night's performance:

New Amy Winehouse Video - "Valerie"

"Valerie" is Amy Winehouse's third single to be released from English producer Mark Ronson. Unfortunately, Amy doesn't appear in this video, instead it became a cheerful girly song.

In any case I do like Amy and hope that she'll be better soon.

Amy Winehouse at Mercury Awards

Amy Winehouse ended her run of no-shows when she performed at the Mercury Awards last night.

She sang an acoustic version of her hit Love Is A Losing Game at London’s Grosvenor House Hotel.

Amy, wearing a pink, yellow and blue off-the-shoulder number got a standing ovation after the song.

She was then kissed by hubby Blake Fielder-Civil who led her from the stage to her table, where her dad Mitch kissed BOTH of them.

She missed out on the top gong for album Back To Black to the Klaxons but show presenter Jools Holland said: “Amy has one of the most amazing voices the UK has ever heard.”

Here's Amy's performance:
