Kelly Clarkson - "All I Ever Wanted" News

"All I Ever Wanted", Kelly Clarkson's fourth studio album will be released on St. Patrick's Day (March 17th).

Kelly is obviously trying to put her fight with RCA's executive Clive Davis over her third album "My December", behind and move on to a colorful pop album.

Her first single, "My Life Would Suck Without You" is written by the duo of Max Martin and Lukasz Dr. Luke Gottwald. The song will be available for download through Amazon.com, on January 16th.

New Kelly Clarkson Album

OneRepublic frontman Ryan Tedder has confirmed that he is working on new material with Kelly Clarkson.

Tedder, who co-wrote and produced Leona Lewis's number one hit 'Bleeding Love', told DS that Clarkson's new songs will feature "big choruses" and "heavy drum programming".

He also revealed that the songs are influenced by nineties electro-rockers Garbage, while one song, a mid-tempo rock ballad, features an experimental bridge inspired by Mozart.

Clarkson reportedly clashed with her record label over the musical direction of her last album, 2007's My December, after Sony BMG chief Clive Davis deemed it less commercial than her previous releases.

Actually Clive Davis did have a point there, unfortunately her latest album hasn't worked out so well for Kelly. However, every artist should play the kind of music they like.

Good News Kelly Clarkson fans!

Kelly Clarkson has reinstated plans to tour the U.S. this year (07) - with a much smaller tour than the one she cancelled two months ago. In June (07), the pop star ditched plans to promote her new album My December because of poor ticket sales. The cancellation came just days after she fired her manager. Two months on Kelly has finalised plans for a series of dates starting in October in Verona, New York State - in venues significantly smaller than those previously booked, reports MTV.

Kelly Clarkson - Any Regrets?

Kelly Clarkson is finally speaking out to clear up rumors about her relationship with label head Clive Davis after the two had creative differences over her latest record.

"There has been quite a bit of controversy surrounding the release of My December, much of which has focused on a supposed feud with my record label, in particular, Clive Davis," Clarkson says in a statement posted on her Web site Monday. "I want to set the record straight on this by saying that I want my band, my advisors, those close to me and my record label to be one big, tightly knit family. Like any family we will disagree and argue sometimes but, in the end, it's respect and admiration that will keep us together.

"A lot has been made in the press about my relationship with Clive. Much of this has been blown way out of proportion and taken out of context. Contrary to recent characterizations in the press, I'm well aware that Clive is one of the great record men of all time. He has been a key advisor and has been an important force in my success to date. He has also given me respect by releasing my new album when he was not obligated to do so. I really regret how everything has turned out and I apologize to those whom I have done disservice. I would never intentionally hurt anyone. I love music, and I love the people I am blessed to work with. I am happy that my team is behind me and I look forward to the future."

I wonder whether Kelly regrets her decision to fire her former management and leave RCA. Unfortunately, "My December" hasn't done as well as expected...

Kelly Clarkson gets new management

Source

Kelly Clarkson has signed a management contract with Nashville-based Starstruck Entertainment, joining a roster that includes Reba McEntire and Blake Shelton. Starstruck CEO Narvel Blackstock, will serve as Clarkson's personal manager. Trisha McClanahan, Starstruck vice president of marketing, will assist with day-to-day operations. This deal couldn't come at a better time given Kelly's recent issues with her former management. Hopefully, she'll be able to find her place better with her new management.

Last week, Kelly performed on "Good Morning America", enjoy a clip of her performance here:

Ten Facts About Kelly Clarkson

1. Kelly never wants to have children. “People tell me when I'm 35 I will change my mind, but I don’t think so,” she admits, “'I would not be a good mother and a lot of people don't realise that until after they have kids.”

2. Kelly wanted to become a marine biologist when she was growing up. SeaWorld’s loss, it seems, was our gain.

3. Simon Cowell thinks that Kelly is the greatest singer Idol has ever discovered. "She's up there with Celine Dion," he insists.

4. Kelly has a fondness for nudism. "I just walk around the house naked," she confesses. Phwoar!

5. Before she found fame on Idol, Kelly worked hard for the money. Her CV includes stints as a cocktail waitress, a vacuum salesperson and a Red Bull promoter.

6. Kelly's dream? "If I can wake up every day before I die and know that I don't have to serve anyone food or drinks, I will be happy!"

7. Kelly once appeared as an extra on Sabrina, the Teenage Witch. We wonder if she thought Salem - Melissa Joan Hart's moggy - looked a bit budget too?

8. Kelly is the only American Idol winner to score a hit single in the UK. Somewhat greedily - considering the failure of Fantasia Barrino, Taylor Hicks and Ruben Studdard on these shores - she's managed to nab eight of them.

9. Despite her wholesome image, Kelly has decided to tap into her angry side on her latest single. “I hope the ring you gave to her turns her fingers green," she seethes on 'Never Again', "I hope when you're in bed with her, you think of me". Ouch!

10. Kelly's name has become an unlikely swear word. In The 40-Year-Old Virgin, Steve Carell's character screeches "Aaaagh! Kelly Clarkson!" as he has his chest waxed.

Kelly Clarkon Cancels Summer Tour

Due to poor ticket sales, Kelly's tour has been cancelled.

"I can't tell you how much I've been looking forward to getting out there to perform for y'all. In the craziness of the music business, performing is what I look forward to doing the most, so it really is disappointing for me to have to tell you that I won't be coming out to tour this summer. The fact is that touring is just too much too soon.

But I promise you that we're going to get back out there as soon as is humanly possible to give you a show that will be even better.
Thanks for all of your love and continued support."

Kelly Clarkson Splits From Management

Kelly Clarkson has split from her manager Jeff Kwatinetz. Appartently Jeff was and wanted to completely be in control of Kelly's career and lately sales for Kelly's new single "Never Again" and sales for her up-coming tour haven't been great. This is how Kelly decided that she had enough and decided to leave Jeff Kwatinetz. This is what Kelly had to say about the situation:

"I’ve sold more than 15 million records worldwide, and still nobody listens to what I have to say. Because I’m 25 and a woman."

I understand Kelly's frustration, however so far she did have a good run. Let's see if she can even do better with other management.
