Michael Buble Dominates the Juno Awards

Michael Buble is a big contender for this year’s Juno Awards, as he has just been nominated for six awards! He is in the running for the Fan Choice Award, Single of the Year for Haven't Met You Yet, Album of the Year, Artist of the Year, Songwriter of the Year and Pop Album of the Year.

"Each of today's JUNO Awards nominees has contributed greatly to the success of the Canadian recording industry, and helped to raise the profile and popularity of Canadian music to even greater heights," said Melanie Berry, president and CEO of the Canadian Academy of Recording Arts and Sciences.

"The depth and diversity of our artists are a force to be reckoned with on the world stage, whether they're established icons or emerging talents. This year's nominees truly demonstrate the influence and creativity of Canadian music."

The following artists will perform at the Juno Awards on April 17th in St. John’s, N.L. : Michael Buble, Billy Talent, Drake, Blue Rodeo, Johnny Reid, Justin Bieber, and Metric.

The Juno Awards will be aired the following day on CTV.

Michael Buble – Next SNL Musical Guest

The next SNL has an amazing line-up of guests with Jon Mann and Michael Buble as musical guest. Michael Buble will share the stage with soul singer Sharon Jones, and will perform “Baby (You’ve Got What It Takes)” from Buble’s latest album “Crazy Love”.

In other Michael Buble news, Simon Cowell has gathered Rod Stewart and Michael Buble as well as his own stars Susan Boyle, JLS and Leona to cover the R.E.M. classic “Everybody Hurts” to raise money for Haiti. The song will be done in the next 7 to 10 days.

“Everybody Hurts” is such a powerful song, it is the perfect choice to raise money for Haiti, you can’t help but being moved by it. Watch REM’s video for “Everybody Hurts” below.

Michael Buble - On Top Of The World!

Michael Buble is doing very well this year, his new album "Crazy Love" is doing great and he has a few nominations coming up. "Crazy Love" was certified platinum in the United States and Canada.

Buble has just been nominated at the Brit Awards for International Male Solo Artist. The show will take place on February 16th.

Buble was also nominated for a Grammy, which will take place on January 31st. He will be competing against Tony Bennett, Harry Connick, Jr., Liza Minnelli and Willie Nelson for Best Traditional Pop Vocal Album. He's got a tough competition there, but whether he wins or not being nominated is always a great honor.

On a personal note, Michael Buble is also doing well as he just got engaged to Luisana Lopilato. 2010 is shapping up to be a great year for Michael Buble.

He sold more 22 million albums, won a Grammy award and he is now back with a new album titled Crazy Love.

The album contains a mix of original tracks and covers of classics, Michael Bublé describes the album as the “ultimate record about the inevitable roller coaster ride of relationships”.

"I started this record knowing I was going to record it differently than my previous ones," he said.

" I dug way deeper and was more introspective on this one. Basically, I sang the truth - made each song autobiographical - and you can definitely hear the difference.

"I went back to the way my idols made their records. I wanted an organic feel - so people could feel like they were in the studio with me. The musicians and I all sat in the room, recorded it right from the floor and we let the sounds all come together and bleed into one another. It's not contrived. Not too perfect. It just feels really good."

Crazy Love will be officially released on October 19.

Michael Buble Meets Madison Square Garden!

Michael Buble is scheduled to release a new DVD/CD Michael Buble Meets Madison Square Garden on June 16th. The DVD/CD documentary will include a masterful Buble performance, which breathlessly captures all the elements surrounding the show including an intimate and complex portrayal of the Canadian singing sensation in the days, minutes and seconds leading up to this historic event.

Michael Buble Meets Madison Square Garden also shows footage of Buble's emotional visit to the famed Blue Note Club where he first performed in New York City over six years ago before exploding onto the music scene. Fans will also get to observe Buble in action backstage at the Garden with his band along with heartfelt moments with his family.

Michael Buble supports Leon Jackson!

Leon Jackson wowed the crowds at Wembley Arena when he performed a duet with Michael Buble. The Scottish singer, who is now in the final four of X Factor, was invited on stage by the Canadian crooner when he played a concert at the London venue this week.

"That's the pinnacle for me, man," he said of the experience. "I've grown up in the last few years listening to Michael Buble and I got to sing with him. I just can't explain it."

It's great to see talented artists such as Michael Buble support new talent.

Michael Buble completely deserves his number 1 on the Billboard charts. He sounds like a younger second Frank Sinatra, and it is really great to see that there are still young artists out there that sing this genre of music.

He will be working extremely hard this year as he will be on tour until December. He will start off his US tour on July 12th in Reno and will continue in through different cities accross the country and then finally going on to Europe. Check all dates of his tour here
