New Nelly Furtado Song – Girlfriend in This City

A new song from Nelly Furtado’s upcoming album “Lifestyles”, titled “Girlfriend in This City” has leaked. “Girlfriend in This City” is a pop song, blended with a lot orchestral sound in the background.

Contrary to what was confirmed a few months ago, Timbaland won’t be involved with Nelly’s fifth studio album. Nelly mentioned it herself, and shared the following on  her new album:

“I can say is that its a combination of my other four albums. It has hip-hop, reggae, love songs.”

“Lifestyle” is due to be released on May 25th and includes production from Ryan Tedder, Tiesto, and Salaam Remi.

Nelly Furtado is set to release her fifth album titled “Lifestyle” on May 25th. It’s the first time that she has recorded an album fully in English. Salaam Remi, Dj Tiesto, Tibaland and Ryan Tedder have participated on the album.

“Half of it its ready and its not a one-producer album. We have 10 songs finished” says Nelly to Billboard Brazil.

After “Lifestyle” she plans on making her first Portuguese release: “It will be recorded in Portugal, but maybe with brazilian artists like Caetano Veloso with whom I've worked before" she tells, reminding she used to sing "Sozinho" on her concerts. She also says she's a fan of female brazilian singers. "I like Marisa Monte's voice, she has brasility on her performances. Daniela Mercury inspires me. They're definitely role models for me.”

Nelly reveals that the way she sings changed a lot thanks to tracks such as Manos Al Aire: “My music is my school. After recording an album in spanish, I changed my way of singing in english, with more passion. I'm a pop singer. My music background is diverse.” she defines.

DJ Tiesto feat. Nelly Furtado - "Who Wants To Be Alone"

DJ Tiesto ahs released his video for his new single "Who Wants To Be Alone". The video was directed by Alan Ferguson, who also directed videos for Katy Perry, John Legend and Andre 3000, Fall Out Boy, and Jay-Z. The single features Nelly Furtado.  The song is the third single to be taken from DJ Tiesto's fourth studio album "Kaleidoscope".

Here's what Nelly Furtado had to say about DJ Tiesto: "Tiesto’s charm and brilliance goes way beyond dance music. His live shows have an ability to initiate the sublime. He manages to create compassionate soundscapes that instigate the body to move and the heart to feel-a hybrid only Tiesto, with all of his inner radiance, could manage."

DJ Tiesto is currently on road for the Kaleidoscope World Tour, for the support of his fourth album "Kaleidoscope". The tour start on March 20th at LG Arena, Birmingham.
