The Spice Girls Reunion at the 02 - A flop!

There have been so many bad reviews of the first night of the Spice Girls at the O2 in London. Apparently their dance moves nor their singing impressed the critics, however the 16,000 fans that came to see them did seem to be impressed.

A critic from
MTV says: "Unfortunately the girl power band never lived up to the pre tour hype, the performance including a mixture of old and new reinforced the fact that none of the five can actually sing and the groups somewhat 'wooden' dance routines added to the lack lustre performance."

A source from
BBC News says: "Decked out in glitter, the Spice Girls looked like a set of skinny Woolworth baubles - cheap and cheerful but not at all to my taste. "

Well I've never been a fan, therefore I can't say anything good about what I've seen of their performance. Here are a few videos, have a look and decide for yourselves.

New Spice Girls Video - "Headlines (Friendship Never Ends)"

This is a very predictible song of the Spice Girls, same old same old as they used to do. It's a very safe song, but I must say that the video was very well shot. The director did a great job.

News flash - P.Diddy donating money to the Spice Girls!

The rumor is that P. Diddy is donating about 4 million dollars worth of tour buses for the Spice Girls world tour. The buses are going to be bullet proof, and covered in jewels. It sounds like they are going to be touring in bling bling!

Natasha Bedingfield - "The Invisible Spice Girl"

I have to say that I am really not a fan of this Spice Girls reunion, I was never into them and they don't inspire me at all. Recently J-Lo said that she wanted to join them on their tour and be a Spice Girl herself, now Natahs Bedingfield is saying the same:

A source says:

"Singer Natasha Bedingfield wants to spice up her pop career - she would love to write new songs for the reformed Spice Girls."

"The pretty British musician was a huge fan of the all-conquering girl group in the late 90s - and would love to work with them in the future."

She says, “I really like the Spice Girls and I want to go and see them on the tour. I should write for them and could be Invisible Spice. I’d love that.”

I would understand why a young teenager might get excited about the Spice Girls, but adults no. What do you think?

The Spice Girls Promote Their Tour

(credits: Juicy UK)

The Spice Girls posted this message on their website "Don't forget if we haven't announced a date near to you, you can still vote for your city to become "Spice City". For one night only, exactly where we perform is down to you and your votes…we are literally in your hands!"

The message continues: "We have just found out that we've had over 3 million ticket requests on the website. As our own VB would say, that is MAJOR!!"

So far, the girls are set to perform in London, Los Angeles, Buenos Aires, Las Vegas, New York, Koln, Madrid, Beijing, Cape Town and Sydney during December and January.

Spice Girls Reunion?

Now that's something I would rather not see happening as I've never been a Spice Girls fan or liked any of their songs. However, everyone has different tastes so I thought that some of you might be really interested in knowing that the Spice Girls might reunite.

The Spice Girls took a big step closer to announcing an already widely rumored reunion tour today when they coyly called a June 28 press conference to discuss "future plans," but declined to give "further information" now.

U.K. tabloids have already reported that Geri "Ginger" Halliwell, Melanie "Sporty" Chisholm, Melanie "Scary" Brown, Victoria "Post" Beckham and Emma "Baby" Bunton have been paid nearly $20 million each to reform the '90s pop group for a 24-date world tour that will stop in all major territories, including a first-time visit to Shanghai, China, and a show in Japan.

The tour is said to kick off in London in December to coincide with the release of a Virgin Records greatest hits album. Two new tracks have been recorded for the set, although reports say there are no plans for any new singles and the band are unlikely to reform permanently. (source)
