We Are The World 25 Video

We Are The World 25

We Are The World 25 has been officially released during tonight’s opening of the Vancouver 2010 Winter Olympics on NBC. The song went through a makeover as it included 80 celebrities and towards the end of the song they started to rap. Michael Jackson’s original parts was added to this version too. The first part included his sister Janet Jackson. The song was recreated to raise money for Haiti, donations can be done directly on wearetheworldfoundation.org or download the song and video on iTunes.

According to a press release from “We Are The World 25″ sponsor Coca-Cola, the track features: Miley Cyrus, Wyclef Jean, Jamie Foxx, Josh Groban, Keri Hilson, Zac Brown Band, Akon, Brandy, Melanie Fiona, Mya, Musiq Soulchild, Katharine McPhee, Trey Songz, Faith Evans, Joel and Benji Madden, members of Sugarland, Jennifer Hudson, Jason Mraz, India.Arie, Mary Mary, Tyrese Gibson, Raphael Saadiq, Rob Thomas, Usher, the Fray’s Isaac Slade, pianist Ethan Bortnick, Enrique Iglesias, Robin Thicke, Maroon 5’s Adam Levine, the Jonas Brothers, Nicole Scherzinger, Julianne Hough, Barbra Streisand, Carlos Santana, Natalie Cole, BeBe Winans, Orianthi, Heart’s Ann and Nancy Wilson, Freda Payne, Harry Connick Jr., Earth, Wind & Fire, the Beach Boys’ Brian Wilson and Al Jardine, Tony Bennett, composer A.R. We Are The World – 25 For Haiti

We Are The World Remake

We Are The World” is being re-made, Quincy Jones and Lionel Richie are working together on a 25th anniversary release of the song Michael Jackson penned together with Lionel Richie to raise money for Africa. Yesterday, many artists arrived yesterday at the Nokia Theatre in Los Angeles. Grammy producer Ken Ehrlich will produce the event, which will then be turned into a video and single just like it was in 1985.

Lil Wayne, Kanye West, Jennifer Hudson, Trey Songz, Drake, Barbra Streisand, Toni Braxton, Snoop Dogg, Usher, Pink, Jamie Foxx, T-Pain, Keri Hilson, Brandy, Robin Thicke, Miley Cyrus, Busta Rhymes, Nicole Scherzinger, Akon, Tony Bennett, Carlos Santana, and many others participated in the re-make of “We Are The World”.

“We Are The World – 25” will serve to raise money for Haiti. The world premiere of “We Are the World – 25 for Haiti,” along with the accompanying 3-D video, will air during NBC’s coverage of the Opening Ceremony of the Vancouver Winter Olympics on Friday, February 12th.
