Motown Celebrates the 70th Birthday of Marvin Gaye, One of the Most Acclaimed Artists in Music History.

In the 50th anniversary year of Motown, April 2, 2009 will mark the 70th birthday of the late great Marvin Gaye. Sadly, April 1 also marked the 25th anniversary of his tragic death the day before his 45th birthday. On other J. Hudson related news, it looks like she's ready to take back her "Sex and the City" role! "I would love (to play her again),” the Daily Express quoted her as telling Access Hollywood. “I told Michael Patrick King that Louise has moved back to New York from St. Louis, so? I'll be ready if that opportunity comes," she added.

Mariah Carey - New Album News!

Mariah has shared the news on Twitter, she is officially working on her next album!

“MariahHBF: Hey! Getting ready to go to the studio in Miami. Very excited cos I haven’t worked w/ ‘Big’ Jim Wright in a while... remember ‘fly like a bird’” Mariah Tweets. “Big Jim Wright has worked with Mariah for years. Most recently, he co-wrote and co-produced ‘Fly Like A Bird,’ the Gospel-drenched song on Mariah’s best-selling 2005 album, ‘The Emancipation of Mimi.’ The collaboration also produced two other tracks on the album, ‘Circles’ and ‘I Wish You Knew.’" MariahDaily further explains.

Jermaine Dupri and Bryan-Michael Cox are both producing the new album. Both producers are so happy with the work which has so far been done on the upcoming album that they've shared it on Twitter.

Michael Jackson 02 Concerts Update

Michael Jackson has asked David Copperfield to help him create stunts including a levitation trick for his upcoming 02 concerts. A source says: "He has some very clear plans on what he wants the show to include and feels David is the man to help make them happen. It's not just about music for Michael, it's about the show."

MJ will most likely ask Leona Lewis amongst many other stars to join him on the tour, in addition his son Prince Michael I will also join.

Another juicy news is that MJ will arrive at the show on the back of an elephant! It sure will be a show to remember!

New David Cook Video - "Come Back To Me"

David Cook's new video for "Come Back To Me", directed by Gavin Bowden was just released. This is the third official single from David's self titled album, released last November.

On other news, David had to cancel two shows due to "family matters". His brother Adam has been battling brain cancer, many fans have shown great support for what David and his family are going through. The missed shows will be re-scheduled.
