Jennifer Hudson Reveals Cover of New Album - I Remember Me


Jennifer Hudson has revealed the cover of her new album "I Remember Me" through Twitter.

"Wanted 2 get this 2 u first! Here's the album cover for I REMEMBER ME which releases on 3/22! U like? #irememberme"

The beautiful picture was taken by famed photographer Anthony Mandler. "I Remember Me" will be released on March 22nd on Arista Records.

Tomorrow, Jennifer Hudson will premiere the first single of the album "Where You At" on The Oprah Winfrey Show.

Jennifer Hudson and Leona Lewis Duet on “Sex and the City 2” Track

As previously reported Jennifer Hudson and Leona Lewis collaborated on one of the “Sex and the City 2” official tracks. The song is titled “Love Is Your Color”, which features a mid-tempo ballad and the two divas did do a great job together on this number.

The soundtrack for “Sex and the City 2” will be released in the United States on May 25th. Alicia Keys, Dido, Erykah Badu, Sarah Jessica Parker, Kim Cattrall, Kristin Davis, and Cynthia Nixon will all feature on the album.

The movie will be released two days after the album’s release on May 27th. Cameo appearances include Penelope Cruz and Miley Cyrus.

Sex and the City 2 Official Soundtrack Details


Details about the soundtrack of “Sex and the City 2” have been revealed today. This time the “girls” Sarah Jessica Parker, Kim Cattrall, Kristen Davis, and Cynthia Nixon will also feature on the soundtrack. They will sing Helen Reddy’s "I Am Woman." Liza Minnelli will also appear on the album and will sing Beyonce’s “Single Ladies” and Cole Porter’s “Ev’ry Time We Say Goodbye”.

The line up of stars doesn’t stop there, Alicia Keys will cover Blondie’s “Rapture”, Leona Lewis and Jennifer Hudson will sing a new tune titled “Love Is Your Color”.

The soundtrack, which also has new music from Dido and Cee Lo, will be released on May 25, just two days before SATC hits theaters. If you haven’t seen the official soundtrack for “Sex and the City 2”, watch it below it’s awesome!

Jennifer Hudson Prepares New Album

Jennifer Hudson is working on her second album in between motherhood, preparing to go to South Africa for her Winnie Mandela biopic, and losing weight.

“I am in the recording process, at least 10 songs in,” the 28-year-old singer-actress tells the AP. “It’s between film and music right now, working on the album, but it won’t be out until September.”

The “Spotlight” singer aims to make a different type of album than her self-titled debut album.  “I think it will definitely be a different direction and I’m so excited about that. I want this album to feel good. Just hearing the feedback from the music being heard. … The reaction to it, I love it. So I’m like, wow, I want this album to be good, but I definitely want it to be very much me, and I just hope the fans embrace it.”

We are sure that her fans will embrace it, her voice is incredible!

Jennifer Hudson – To Perform One Shinning Moment Tonight

Jennifer Hudson will perform “One Shinning Moment” at the end of this year’s NCAA men’s basketball championship game.  She will be the first woman to ever perform the David Barrett song. Teddy Pendergrass and Luther Vandross also performed it.

"The song inspires you," Hudson said in a release. "It moves you. It motivates you and helps you reach that goal and that dream."

Jennifer Hudson has taken a little time off from the public eye lately, after having her baby. Today, she appeared on “Good Morning America” and showed off her new slim figure, which she achieved with Weight Watchers.

"I was very comfortable with myself before," she told Roberts. "I have a child now and I want to set a great example for him. Make better life choices, health choices, and just create a good example for him growing up." Says Jennifer Hudson.

During the interview, she spoke about her son, her motivation to lose weight, and her upcoming role as Winnie Mandela which will be filmed in Africa.

BET 2010 Honors – Whitney Houston, Sean Diddy Combs, Queen Latifah

Whitney Houston BET Honored 
BET celebrated Whitney Houston, Sean Diddy Combs, and Queen Latifah last night at the 3rd annual BET Honors.

Jennifer Hudson sang “I will Always Love You”, and had Whitney Houston standing full of admiration while she was singing.

Mary J. Blige sang a medley of “Love No Limit”, “I Love You”, and “Be Happy” for Diddy in appreciation for having helped launch her career.

Jazmine Sullivan performed “Unforgettable” and “Rock Steady” for Queen Latifah.

Stevie Wonder and Trey Songz surprisingly sang “I Invented Sex” together. They also sang a tribute to the late Teddy Pendergrass with India.Arie.

Soul singer Maxwell finished the show by singing two songs from his  Grammy nominated album BLACKsummers’night: “Fistful of Tears” and “Bad Habits”.

The show will air on February 1st on BET.

2010 is Jennifer Hudson’s Year!

Jennifer Hudson will be one of the artists who will perform at the White House for a “Celebration of Music from the Civil Rights Movement”. The event will be hosted by President Barack Obama and his wife on February 10th, and will air on February 11th at 8 p.m. ET on PBS.

The event will include music which captures the struggles of the Civil Rights Movement. Other artists such as Smokey Robinson, Seal, John Legend, and the Blind Boys of Alabama will also perform.Besides the privilege of performing at the White House, Jennifer Hudson will also have the honor of playing Winnie Mandela in a new movie titled “Winnie”. Production will start on May 2010 in South Africa.
 
Jennifer on her new role: Winnie is a "complex and extraordinary woman I am honored to be asked to portray her."

Jennifer is on a great start this year, we wish her to continue this way.

Jennifer Hudson Covers Entertainment Weekly


Jennifer Hudson covers April's issue of Entertainment Weekly. In this issue she discusses her music, the murders, church, and more. The below comes out straight from EW's interview with Jennifer Hudson.

Her Tour:
Hudson is now embarking on a 27-show tour, coheadlining with singer Robin Thicke. “This is what I love to do, and I hate to sit still,” she said. “I have been active for the past four or five years, and to be working like that and then to just stop and all you hear is the clock ticking…” She shakes her head. “That will drive you crazy.”

The Murders:
Hudson still does not talk about the murders, even with those closest to her. “I try not to say anything about it,” says her childhood friend and longtime assistant, Walter Williams III. “She’s okay as long as people don’t bring it up. She’s trying to put all of that behind her.”

Attending Church:
“We were what you call ‘born in the church,’” Hudson says. “I would go with my grandmother and my mom, and when I was little, I would fall asleep on their laps in the choir stand. She adds, “The church has given me balance…Too often we look at things through human eyes. But when you look at the world spiritually, it makes far more sense. I don’t think I would be here without it.”

Jennifer Hudson on Ellen!


Jennifer Hudson was a guest on Ellen's show. She shared news about her tour with Robin Thicke, her engagement to David Otunga, her new album, and performed "If This Isn't Love". Also, check out the surprise Ellen made for Jennifer!

On other J. Hudson related news, it looks like she's ready to take back her "Sex and the City" role! "I would love (to play her again),” the Daily Express quoted her as telling Access Hollywood. “I told Michael Patrick King that Louise has moved back to New York from St. Louis, so? I'll be ready if that opportunity comes," she added.

Beyonce + Jennifer Hudson - NAACP Performances


Beyonce appeared as the opening act of the 2009 NAACP Image Awards, last night. She performed "Halo", the ballad song coming off her third solo studio album "I Am...Sasha Fierce". Jennifer Hudson also performed, and sang "The Impossible Dream".

This year's 2009 NAACP Image Awards were hosted by Halle Berry and Tyler Perry.  Both Beyonce and Jennifer Hudson were awarded. Beyonce won the female artist category while Husdon picked up the new artist award.

Jennifer Hudson Returns To Work


Jennifer Hudson has returned to work, and is currently working on a new video for a single titled "If This Isn't Love". The video will be released around February 9th.

Jennifer is also scheduled to perform the national anthem at this year's Super Bowl, which will be aired live on Sunday.

Jennifer Hudson - Superbowl Performance


Jennifer Hudson will return to the spotlight by singing "The Star-Spangled Banner" at the Super Bowl XLIII in Tampa, Florida, on February 1st. The performance will be Jennifer's first public appearance since her mother, brother, and nephew were tragically murdered in Chicago last October.

Beyonce Knowles, Alicia Keys, and Jennifer Hudson - All Nominated!


Beyonce Knowles, Alicia Keys and Jennifer Hudson have all been nominated in both music and film categories for the NAACP Image Awards.

Knowles, Keys and Hudson are competing for outstanding female music artist and for best music video. They are also nominated for supporting film actress, Keys and Hudson for "The Secret Life of Bees" and Knowles for "Cadillac Records."

"Cadillac Records" and "The Secret Life of Bees" are best-picture contenders, along with "Miracle at St. Anna," "Seven Pounds" and "Tyler Perry's the Family That Preys."

The Image Awards honoring diversity in the arts will air on February 12th.

Jennifer Hudson - May Return at President Elect Inauguration Day


Jennifer Hudson has been asked to perform The National Anthem at President-Elect Barack Obama’s inauguration next month, The New York Post reported on Wednesday.

“Organizers want Jennifer to sing ‘The Star-Spangled Banner’ at the Inauguration on Jan. 20,” The Post insider says. “They are talking to Jennifer about it. It would be the first time she performed since the murders. She is from Chicago and a huge Obama supporter.”

Jennifer performed The National Anthem at the Democratic National Convention in Denver last August.

There is no word about whether Jennifer Hudson has accepted to perform.
