New Green Day Video – Last of the American Girls

Green Day has released a video for “Last of the American Girls” yesterday. The video was directed by Marc Webb, who also directed other Green Day videos such as “21 Guns” and “21st Century Breakdown”.

“Last of the American Girls” features in the band’s eight album “21st Century Breakdown”. The song serves as the fifth official track from the album. Green Day is also working on their next album: “We did some demos in Berlin, some in Stockholm, some just outside of Glasgow and some in Amsterdam,” Billie Joe Armstrong said in an interview with Kerrang! magazine.

Alanis Morissette Headlines Prince Of Persia Soundtrack

The track list for the soundtrack of “Prince Of Persia: The Sands Of Time” has been released. Alanis Morissette will sing the the Middle Eastern like theme song of the movie. The track is titled “I Remain” and it will be included during the movie’s end credits. “Prince Of Persia: The Sands Of Time” features Jake Gyllenhaal and will hit theaters on May 28th. The soundtrack will be released on May 25th.

Michael Jackson and Aretha Franklin – Apollo Legends

 

Michael Jackson and Aretha Franklin are both set to be inducted into the Apollo Theatre's Hall of Fame in New York, on June 14th. Both singers will be named Apollo Legends during the gala. The Apollo was an important time in the launch of Michael Jackson’s career, as he appeared with the Jackson Five in the late 1960s for the Apollo’s Amateur Night.

Others to be honored for their humanitarian work include Jennifer Lopez, Marc Anthony, and Ruby Dee & Ossie Davis. They will receive the Arts and Humanitarian Award.

Jamie Foxx will host the gala, which will start at 6:30 p.m. with a red carpet event, followed by the Benefit concert and awards ceremony.

Mary J. Blige Releases Each Tear with Jay sean

Mary J. Blige has just released the music video for her single “Each Tear ft. Jay Sean”. The original version of “Each Tear” is included in Mary J. Blige’s album “Stronger With Each Tear”. This new version however will only appear as a UK release, and thus aimed at the UK audience.

Here’s what Jay Sean Twittered about his collaboration with Mary J. Blige: "For someone that has paved the way and inspired so many artists, shes so humble. Love that. Amazing2work with."

The Marcus Raboy directed video was filmed in black and white, it includes flashes of children in between scenes going from Mary J. Blige to Jay Sean. What do you think of this new release of “Each tear”?

Jennifer Hudson – Good Morning America Interview

Jennifer Hudson has taken a little time off from the public eye lately, after having her baby. Today, she appeared on “Good Morning America” and showed off her new slim figure, which she achieved with Weight Watchers.

"I was very comfortable with myself before," she told Roberts. "I have a child now and I want to set a great example for him. Make better life choices, health choices, and just create a good example for him growing up." Says Jennifer Hudson.

During the interview, she spoke about her son, her motivation to lose weight, and her upcoming role as Winnie Mandela which will be filmed in Africa.
