George Michael Update!

"Access Hollywood" correspondent Tim Vincent caught up with George Michael to discuss his recent TV appearances. The British singer even spilled the beans that a character loses his virginity to one of his hit songs. I would love to see in this new NBC show, however I hope that it won't turn out exactly like Ally McBeal.

Ashanti - Official Cover of "The Way That I Love You"!

This is Ashanti's official cover for her new single "The Way That I Love You". Apparently, she will shoot the music video for her new single in the upcoming days. Ashanti's fourth studio album "The Declaration" will be released on June 3rd.

I think the cover is perfect, I love it!

New Music: Asia Cruise "Selfish"

The identity of this young artist was hidden from her label "HiTz Committee Records" until last Thursday. Apparently, her new song "Selfish" already leaked last year in May, however her label thought it would make people more curious about their new star if they kept her identity secret for a while. The mystery is over, here's Asia Cruise's new video "Selfish":

Here's the audio version of "Selfish"

What do you think of Asia Cruise?

Sheryl Crow is about to release her sixth studio album, "Detours" The official date is February 18th.

This new album marks the return of producer Bill Bottrell, who previously worked with Sheryl on her breakthrough debut album "Tuesday Night Music Club", which earned her three Grammy Awards, and sold more than 10 million copies worldwide!

Here's what Sheryl had to say about the new album: “This is the most honest record I’ve ever made. It’s about being forced to wake up.”

The album is political, and refelects her personal thoughts of today's world from different perspectives. It also mentions personal challenges she faced through the last couple of years.

Her new album can be pre-ordered on I-Tunes, where you'll get a free bonus track called "Here Comes The Sun".

Jessica Biel, Gisele Bundchen, Jennifer Lopez and Marc Anthony, and Whoopi Goldberg are among the celebs who were selected to be part of Disney's “Year of a Million Dreams”, the campaign was shot by photographer to the stars Annie Liebovitz.

Celine Dion, bribing China?

Celine Dion has written in a new song in the hopes that it will be chosen as the theme song for this year's Beijing Olympic games.

Celine will do more than submitting a song, she also plans on visiting China in April for her first ever concert there. Looks like she's aiming to show off her assets and persuade the judges.

Something like this might work in the states or in Europe, but I'm not sure that it would in China.

It wouldn't be the first time a song of Celine would be chosen for the olympic games. In 1996, she performed "The Power of the Dream" at the Atlanta's Olympic games.

P. Diddy, or should I say Sean John?

Apparently formerly known P. Diddy doesn't have anything better to do in his free time than coming up for yet another name.

First it was Sean Combs, then Puff Daddy and finally P. Diddy, now he will be known as Sean John.

I guess he missed being in the news and decided to create a buzz about yet another new name.

How would you call him?

Amazing lineup for the 50th Grammys!

Beyonce and Tina Turner are definetly set to duet at this year's Grammys, and now there's a longer list of stars that have confirmed. Carrie Underwood and the Foo Fighters, who will play their song "The Pretender" with an orchestra led by guest conductor John Paul Jones, bassist for the recently reunited Led Zeppelin have also confirmed.

The show will also feature a special segment with Rihanna performing alongside a reunion of 1980s R&B/funk act the Time. A tribute to gospel music will bring together Mary J. Blige, Aretha Franklin, Israel and New Breed, Madison Bumblebees, the Clark Sisters and Trin-I-Tee 5:7.

I personally can't wait to see Rihanna perform with the Time, that should be a hot number!

The latest scoup is that Beyonce and Tina Turner will perform at this year's Grammy Awards on February 10th.

An insider told People magazine: "We don't know what they'll be singing yet, but it is sure to be an amazing performance."

This is going to be a hell of a performance!

At the same time, the Writers Guild of America announced this week they will not picket outside the Grammy Awards at Los Angeles' Staples Center, clearing the way for stars to safely attend the show.

Leaving lots of room for Beyonce to make an amazing entrance!

Lil' Kim Leaves Atlantic Records!

Lil’ Kim has left Atlantic Records and intends to release her upcoming album independently.

Last week, Kim shared on DJ Kay Slay’s SIRIUS radio show “Streetsweeper Radio” that she harbors no ill feelings toward Atlantic. She said she was afraid to release her music independently several years ago but is now more comfortable in her knowledge of the music business to work her project.

She might join Capitol Music Group’s independent label, Imperial Records, which Fat Joe is also signed to.

Lil Kim’s upcoming album should be realeased in April or May, 2008.

Colin Munroe - "I Want Those Flashing Lights"!

Marked Music Inc. is pleased to announce the formation of an exclusive joint venture with Grammy Award-winning super producer Dallas Austin, and his production imprint, Rowdy Records, for the worldwide release of Don’t Think Less of Me, the debut album from artist/producer Colin Munroe.

In the last two years, Ottawa, Canada native, Colin Munroe, has established himself as a go-to producer in Canada’s urban music community. Munroe co-wrote and produced ten songs on Ray Robinson’s Juno Award-nominated debut, What It Is and has logged studio time producing and writing with notable artists including Chauncey Black (formerly of Blackstreet), Glenn Lewis, Divine Brown, Saukrates, Sean Price of Boot Camp Clik and Degrassi: The Next Generation star Drake, among others.

Colin Munroe’s debut album, Don’t Think Less of Me, is a departure from his urban production. Rich in melody and depth, the album owes more to Colin’s love of Tin Pan Alley, The Beatles and early Van Morrison than Dr. Dre. In true do-it-yourself fashion, Don’t Think Less of Me was entirely written, performed, arranged and produced by Colin Munroe, first in his attic studio, before being completed at Toronto’s venerable Metalworks Studios. In Colin’s words, “It's an album of songs about trying to figure things out: life, love, leaving home…there’s even a song about writing songs!” Mixed by Grammy nominee Mark Needham (The Killers, My Chemical Romance), the disc is scheduled for Canadian release in March 2008 on Marked Music, with distribution through Fontana North. The web-video for Colin’s buzz single “World of Pain” recently received a surge of attention online, logging over 350,000 views on YouTube.com (earning top 50 Honors in multiple countries in the process), secured features on DailyMotion, MySpace and Yahoo Video and was recently added to rotation at Canada’s MuchMusic. "Feedback" isn't working out for Janet

Janet Jackson's video premiered on MTV earlier this week - showing off dancing skills to rival her older brother, Michael Jackson - but that doesn’t seem to have helped record sales.

Janet Jackson’s latest single, Feedback, hasn’t even made the top 100 download chart - after three weeks on sale.

Now her label, Island Records might pull the plug on bringing the CD version to the UK.

A source said: “The poor figures are no surprise as Janet isn’t big news right now.”

The album is set for release on 26 February.

What do you think of Janet's "Feedback"?
