Canadian R&B star Keisha Chante has reportedly been casted to portray Aaliyah in an upcoming biopic about the late R&B superstar.
During her career, Aaliyah sold 32 million albums worldwide and was nominated for five Grammys.
The biopic is scheduled to open in theaters in 2009.
