New Joss Stone Album - Colour Me Free

Joss Stone's new album "Colour Me Free" is finally going to see the light of day. It is no secret that Joss and her record label BMI haven't seen eye to eye for quite some time. The new album will be released on October 20th.

"Colour Me Free" was written and recorded in about a week in Devon in early 2008, along with musicians and writers. It was recorded at Mama Stone's—a music venue in Wellington, Somerset, owned by her mother, Wendy Joseph, which also enjoys recording studios and writing facilities—, where Stone also kicked off a promotional tour of concerts in several cities across the United Kingdom, including Bristol, Birmingham, Leeds, Glasgow, Liverpool, Manchester, and Dover. Her only U.S. performances to support the release were at the 2009 Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival in Indio, California, on 18 April and at Club Nokia in Los Angeles on 23 April.

New Linkin Park Album Coming Soon

Linkin Park is working on their new album now that Chester Bennington's side project "Dead By Sunrise" is finished and nearing its October 13th release.

The band would like to get to a sound simillar to "Hybrid Theory", but different. The hit single "New Divide" is in no way an indication as to what the new album will sound like.

Here's what Mike Shinoda has to say about the untitled new album:

"We mentally want to get back to [2000's "Hybrid Theory"] not because we want to sound like [that], because I don't think we do," Shinoda says of the forthcoming Linkin Park album, which they aim to release in the first half of 2010. "But we want to make this record a record with identity, hopefully not one you've heard before. One you can listen to and say, 'That's brand new... It's definitely Linkin Park, but it's definitely different.'"

George Michael - To Release Live DVD

It is rumored that George Michael will be releasing a live DVD of one of his London concerts this December. The official date so far is December 7th.

The DVD and Blue Ray release was filmed last year in London's Earl Court, while George Michael was ending his "25 Live" tour.

Michael Jackson - This Is It Movie + Album

On October 12th, Sony is set to release a new Michael Jackson song titled "This Is It". The new song has been promoted with the trailer of the soon to be released "This Is It" movie. Tickets for this unique event will be available for purchase on September 27th. The movie will show on October 28th for two weeks. Tickets will be sold here.

The film's world gala will be in Los Angeles at the Nokia Theatre L.A. LIVE on Tuesday, October 27. That event, which begins at 6pm PDT, kicks off a series of more than 25 premieres around the globe. More than 15 cities, including New York, Rio De Janeiro, London, Berlin, Johannesburg, and Seoul will host events simultaneously, with red carpet arrivals and activities from the Los Angeles event broadcast by satellite to those cities. Other cities, including Moscow, Tokyo, Sydney, Paris, and many others will host their own, non-simultaneous premiere activities.

That's not all, Sony will also release a two disc album on October 26th in the United States and October 27th internationally.

Disc one will feature the original album masters of some of Michael's biggest hits arranged in the same sequence as they appear in the film. The disc ends with two versions of the never-released "This Is It." This song is featured in the film's closing sequence and includes backing vocals by Michael's brothers, the Jacksons.

Disc two offers previously unreleased versions of some of the artist's classic tracks. This disc also features a touching spoken word poem from Michael Jackson entitled "Planet Earth" that has never been heard before.

The two-disc This is It is a stand-alone companion to the motion picture and includes a 36-page, commemorative booklet featuring exclusive photos of Michael from his last rehearsal. (Michaeljackson.com)

New Alicia Keys Album Due This December!

Alicia Keys has confirmed on BET's "106 & Park" that her next album will be released in December.

Alicia Keys' comments on the new album: "The way that the songs progress [on the album] are gonna take you on a natural high. I just want you to feel a sense of freedom, I want you to feel out-of-the-box, feel inspired," Alicia continued. "You're definitely going to be taken on a trip, I know you're going to be shocked, you're going to hear things that you probably didn't think that I would sound like. It's a journey."

The first single will be titled "Doesn't Mean A thing", which was already released online on September 14th. "Try Sleeping With a Broken Heart" will be the second single of the untitled new album.

Leona Lewis - Happy

Leona Lewis is getting ready to release her second album "Echo" on November 17th. She had great success with her debut album "Spirit" and she has even been included in VH1's Divas this year. The first single from her "Echo" will be "Happy", which was written & produced by Ryan Tedder (Bleeding Love) and co-written by her as well.
