Daughtry has done extremely well on the Billboard 200 during the chart year (which ran from December 2006 to November 2007), as they landed the top-selling album of 2007! The band’s self-titled debut has sold 3.2 million copies.
The next best four albums sold in 2007 were:
-Akon, Konvicted, with 2.7 million
-Fergie, The Dutchess, with 2.4 million
-The Hannah Montana soundtrack, with 2.5 million
-Carrie Underwood, Some Hearts, with 2.3 million
The Police’s reunion tour was named the top tour of the year, grossing at least $212 million. Genesis and Justin Timberlake followed them.
I was extremely happy to hear that Prince's 21 sellouts at the O2 in London was the top Boxscore at more than $22 million!
