Last night, Sayecha Mercado got eliminated from American Idol. She did have a good run and was my second favorite in the final three. Right now David Cook and David Archuleta will go head to head for the American Idol title.
I am personally not rooting for David Archuleta, he has no edge, he has a good voice, but he is plain borring. Every time he sings something, I forget what he sang about few minutes later.
David Cook has the edge needed to perform, it's not only about being in the studio and making a nice album, it's about performing too! David Cook has exactly what is needed to be the next American Idol.
Simon Cowell agrees with me as he told Blender Magazine in a new interview that he thinks David Cook should win this year’s competition.
“I think he’s done more to deserve it over the eleven weeks,” Simon says. “He’s taken more risks, he’s done things with certain songs that have been more interesting. If I’m gonna base it on who has done the best performances over the live shows, David Cook deserves to win.”
